Question:   How long has Alamo been in the business?
Answer:   Since 1989, John Boyd (President & CEO) has been directly involved in the day-to-day operations, production and sales of contract security.  Before this time, he was in loss prevention in the hotel industry for over 15 years.

Question:   Why did John Boyd name his Louisiana based company Alamo Services?
Answer:   John is a direct descendant of Joseph Rutherford, a volunteer who fought and died at the Alamo. (He is also a fan of John Wayne)

Answer:   Alamo is privileged to have handled campaign whistle stops for presidential candidates, citywide Mardi Gras parades and Carnival extravaganzas, the annual French Quarter Music Festival, the NFL Owners Events, the inauguration of the Mayor of the City of New Orleans, the annual Bayou Classic and POWWOW.

Question:   What uniform options does Alamo offer?
Answer:   The Alamo day to day security officer’s uniform is a navy blue blazer with security logo on the pocket, khaki slacks, white shirts, regimental tie and black shoes.  For formal events Alamo offers black tie tuxedo and for casual outdoor events we offer polo shirts and khaki slacks.

Question:   What are Alamo's rates?
Answer:   Please contact our Corporate Office for quotes at 504-523-3372 or submit an order form through this website.  Our prices are based on a four hour minimum with no overtime differential.  We would be happy to develop a customized proposal for your perusal.

Question:   How are Alamo security officers trained and licensed?   
Answer:   All officers are licensed through the State of Louisiana’s Department of Private Security Company Examiners after completing the State-mandated course of instruction and training.  Our in-house, full-time, State-licensed Security Instructor is responsible for certification of all employees.

Question:   How does Alamo recruit its employees?
Answer:   Alamo does not use temporary services, Louisiana State unemployment or labor pools.  All of our employees are referred by word-of-mouth and undergo a multi-level screening and interviewing process.
